Convention…Is it worth going? Did you ask yourself that question? Did you do what you needed to, to be where you needed to be? Today’s post is my story of getting to the Yoli Blast Off Convention. I hope you enjoy it. And be sure to visit our other blog http://NeverBlastAlone.com to stay up to date on all we are doing

The Yoli Blast Off Convention happened Jan. 22-24th 2010, at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was non-stop action, from registering, going to the Yoli store, and the late evening reception on Friday night to hanging out with other distributors after a day of incredible training from some of Network Marketing and Yoli’s top leaders on Sunday. But a more about that in my next post.

My story begins several months back when I found out the dates of the Yoli Convention. Michael and I knew that of course we were going to go, after all, we all know the saying “Leaders are born at Events.” So we booked our room, and made sure that we had tickets, and started getting ready for a once in a lifetime experience. Then sometime in December, Michael changed jobs, and circumstances being what they may, Michael was not going to be able to join me for the Yoli Blast Off Convention after all! So, I changed my plans, and asked my dear friend, and fellow Yoli distributor to go with me. After all, we could make it a girl’s weekend away! The plans were made, and both of us were getting very excited!

The anticipation was building, this was going to be a very special event. Keynote speakers like Yoli’s very own Bryan Clay, World’s Greatest Athlete, and one of the greatest athletes of all time, Carl Lewis, a big launch party with Yoli Founder and CMO, Corey Citron spinning, and a Sunday training with some of Yoli’s top leaders. This was going to be FUN. I was a little worried about the weather. We live in Los Angeles, and had always planned on driving, we figured what was the worst that could happen? Who knew LA would be hit by 4 huge storms in a row!

Finally the day had come, we were both all packed, I woke up early, and checked my phone. PROBLEM, there is a text message from my friends daughter, telling me my friend is deathly ill, and there is no way she is coming with me. Now as bad as I felt for my friend, I was heartbroken, and to be honest a bit scared to go by myself. I paced around my house for hours, I was upset! The rain was pouring outside, my parents had called suggesting I not go because of the weather, and I needed to get on the road because I WAS GOING TO CONVENTION!! To not go was never an option!

I got on the road and began the 271 mile drive, it was raining, and I don’t mean a little drizzle, I mean a steady downpour!! I pushed on. It rained, at time torrential for the first couple of hours. As I continued the drive, the rain did start to come down less hard, but as I looked down at the thermometer in my car I realized that was because it was no longer rain, but snow that was falling, but I pushed on, laughing, as I have only seen snow falling a handful of times in my life, I thought it was neat at first. Then it started coming down faster, harder and bigger, and I just kept hoping I was going to get through before chains were needed. I just kept on driving, and as soon as I was through the blizzard, the rest of the drive was one of the most beautiful and scenic drives I have ever made, snow covered mountains, 3 different rainbows along the way, and then finally I was in Vegas! Maybe things were going to be alright…

I checked into my room at Bally’s, had my luggage brought up and started to get settled, only to find used soap, toothpaste, and other miscellaneous used toiletries in the drawer by the bed, AND the safe didn’t work, time to change rooms! So they got me a new room, a few floors away, and then with no bellhop or any help, I lugged all my stuff to the new room. I was really starting to think that it was not my day! I went to go find Julie Booz, my friend and Sponsor but somehow could not find her, connect with her, or anyone else I knew for that matter. I was on the verge of tears, I was there, but ready to give up.

But then, something happened, the magic of Yoli you could say. As I was walking though the walkway, looking at all of the YOLI banners hanging. I ran into Robert Meyers and his wife Lyn. I had met them several times at events in Los Angeles, but it was like seeing old friends, Lyn seeing how upset I was, made sure I had their number, and that if I wasn’t able to find the people I was looking for to make sure to call them, I knew I was not going to be alone! So I walked over to registration, and bumped into Corey Citron, who was surprised to hear that I was alone, and about how my day had been going (how nice, that he took the time to see how I was, even as the launch of both his Company and Event were about to occur!) I assured him I would be fine, and we went on our way. I then registered and checked out the amazing Yoli Store, and started talking to people, my day was changing before my eyes, and I realized I was exactly where I needed to be!!

By the way, in case you don’t know the kind of person Corey Citron is (we all know what an amazing marketer, leader and mentor he is but I mean what kind of person,) he texted me about an hour later to make sure that I was okay, As I said the magic of Yoli was happening around me.

And then the events began, there was a late night reception put on by my upline where I was fortunate enough to be hanging out with our team along with some of the top leaders in the company, Eugene Hong, Janice Stiglietz, Julie Booz and of course the Founders made an appearance as well. What a way to start things off! And this is only the beginning!! Check back here in the next few days to read the rest of my Convention story, I promise you, it only gets better in every way!! And remember until next time NEVER BLAST ALONE!!

America is addicted to sugar. It is in everything today, and it’s just not good. Recently, the American Heart Association issued a statement that called on all American’s to cut back on added sugars of all types. You see there is no “Recommended Daily Allowance” for sugar. However, the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend no more than 8 teaspoons per day (32 grams) based on a 2000 calorie per day diet. Now since kids come in different shapes and sizes, and some kids do much more physical activity than others, it is hard to say how many calories a day they should consume, but it should range from 1600-2500 per day, thus children should also be limiting their sugar intake to approximately 32 grams a day, MAX!

It has been found that the biggest contributor to our sugar intact on a daily basis is through what we drink. As it turns out soda accounts for 33% of all added sugar consumed in the US diet today. I decided to do a little more investigation into how much sugar is really in that drink. Take a look at the video, I am sure that what I found out will shock you.

So what’s a parent to do? Sugar is the problem…Yoli is the solution. Yoli has no sugar, nothing artificial, no preservatives, fillers, caffeine or harmful stimulants. What it does have is, its all natural, it’s 100% fresh every time, Blast Cap Technology preserves the nutrients at the height of their effectiveness, it has live, active ingredients (probiotics), a superior ORAC antioxidant value, and it has a low glycemic index (making it safe for diabetics as well.) Check out the label yourself, ( the label is off the box of 12 Blast Caps) and do you own comparisons.

Yoli is the drink of the future, and it is here today!!

Just a reminder, we are still looking for a few more leaders to add to our Team Never Blast Alone before pre-launch, so if your a leader, looking for a chance to get in at the begining, please contact us you will be glad you did.

Until next time remember, NEVER BLAST ALONE
